One address, one desk. Corrections and source questions are welcome. Clinical questions are not, and the reason is not politeness.
Write to contact@uk-radiology.co.uk. That address reaches the desk and nowhere else. It is the right place for a correction, for a question about which source a figure came from, for a note that a source has been updated since a page was written, and for anything to do with how this site works.
The one thing we cannot answer
The desk cannot answer a clinical question, and will not try. That includes whether an examination is needed, which examination would be appropriate, what a report or a result means, whether a symptom matters, and anything else about a particular person's health. This is not a matter of caution or of liability wording. Nobody here is in a position to know the person asking, has seen any images, or has the professional standing to give an opinion, and an answer written from a distance would be worse than no answer at all. A message of that kind will receive a short reply saying only this.
What a useful message contains
For a correction, the page address and the source that contradicts it are enough. The desk will read that source, and if the page is wrong it is corrected and dated the day the correction is made. If the page turns out to be right, the reasoning is written back, because a disagreement about a source is usually a disagreement about which edition each party is reading.
Replies
Messages are read by a person and answered by a person. There is no form on this site, no newsletter, no account and no tracking of who writes in. What happens to a message once it arrives is described on the privacy page. What the desk is responsible for is on the editorial policy.
